Laminate Flooring is a material made to look like natural products such as wood flooring or natural stone, yet are made up of either synthetic materials or synthetic materials combined with natural and recycled ingredients.

These floors are installed using a ‘tongue & groove’ technique. The planks are created to lock into each other without the use of staples, nails or cement compounds. Because no adhesive or nails are used during installation, Laminates are referred to as floating floors. This feature makes laminate floors a good option for people who do not want to damage sub-flooring or hardwood floors underneath.

Laminate floors come in a wide range of selection and different levels of quality. Most high quality Laminate Floors guarantee against staining, wear and fading. Unlike traditional hardwood, laminates are strong and therefore are more resistant to dents, scratches and everyday wear and tear.

This type of floor is very easy to maintain, as it does not require waxing or staining like traditional wood. A simple cleaning solution is all that is necessary to keep your floor looking new.

Several companies produce laminate floors. Some of the brands we carry are Pergo, Armstong & Bruce.

Any type of hardwood flooring is an investment in your home or office. Today, there are several options to consider when choosing the type of hardwood floor you would like to have installed. More and more of hardwood floors today are pre-finished. This means that they arrive at your home already stained and ready for installation. Choosing to install a pre-finished hardwood eliminates the health hazards and inconveniences associated with traditional, unfinished hardwood floors. All types of Hardwood are non-allergenic products.

All hardwood floors can scratch, so it is recommended to use felt pads under furniture.  Never clean or wet mop a hardwood floor with water. Water can damage the finish and the floor. Areas with lots of sunlight may fade over time. This product is constructed of solid hardwood and is installed with a nail down technique.  Pre-finished hardwood floors can be refinished through the traditional method of sanding and staining making this a lifetime product.
